P.G. Diploma for Mechanical Engineers

The two year Presea training course for Diploma Holders (DME) is a course leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the ministry of shipping Government of India, after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Naval ships anywhere in the world. This course is strictly residential.

Minimum Qualification

  • Applicant Should posses Diploma in Mechanical / Marine /Naval Architecture / Electrical / Electric and Electronics Engineering with minimum of 50% in Final year and minimum 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th standard or Diploma courses.

OR

Passed Diploma in ship building engineering with minimum marks of 50% in Final year ( 4 year Course ) and with minimum of 50% in English at 10th,12th or Diploma Exam.

  • College must have AICTE or UGC approval.
  • Maximum 28 years of age at the time of commencement of the course.
  • Course Date: March/September Month of every year.

 

Online Entrance Test

Test can be conduct at different centers across India. Test date will be announced through Hall ticket

Psychometric Test

A qualified psychologist conducts personality profiling of prospective candidates to check their suitability

Medical Examination

Selected candidates undergo a stringent medical examination with DG Approved doctor

Panel Interview

Short listed candidates are called for an interview taken by a panel comprising of Chief Engineers and Captain Superintendent

Pre-Sea Training

2 Years DG approved Diploma Marine Engineering (DME) Course.
