Electro Technical Officers

The four months Electro Technical Officers (ETO) course is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. This course is strictly residential.

 

Minimum Qualification
Passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as a separate subject with minimum 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th standard.
passed 3 years Diploma with 60% marks or passed Four years Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks, in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation, or equivalent.
Or Passed in 10th standard, with English as a separate subject with minimum 50% marks in English, and Passed in Diploma with 60% and Passed 3 years Degree through Lateral Entry with 50% marks in the streams mentioned above.
The diploma / degree courses must be recognized by any State or Central Government or AICTE.
Maximum 35 years of age as on March, July & November.
Online Entrance Test
Test can be conduct at Online platform through online user-id and password. that user-id or password received by email after successfully registration and completing the payment process ticket.
Psychometric Test
A qualified psychologist conducts personality profiling of prospective candidates to check their suitability.
Medical Examination
Selected candidates undergo a stringent medical examination with DG Approved doctor.
Panel Interview
Short listed candidates are called for an interview taken by a panel comprising of Chief Engineers and Captain Superintendent.
Pre-Sea Training
4 Months DG approved Electro Technical Officers ( ETO ) Course.
On Completion of the course candidates can join the Merchant Ships as an Electrical Officer.
