B.Sc. Nautical Science
The three year B.Sc. Nautical Science course is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. It is a course leading to Second Mate’s Foreign-Going Certificate of Competency awarded by the D.G. Shipping after 12 months of Sea Service, Enabling the cadets to become Navigating officers on board Merchant Navy Ships worldwide. The three year B.Sc., Nautical Science course is strictly residential.
Minimum Qualification
Pass in ( 10+12 ) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less then 60%.
Minimum of 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th.
17 to 25 years of age at the time of commencement of the course.
Course Date: August Month of the year.
Psychometric Test
A qualified psychologist conducts personality profiling of prospective candidates to check their suitability.
Medical Examination
Selected candidates undergo a stringent medical examination with DG Approved doctor.
Panel Interview
Short listed candidates are called for an interview taken by a panel comprising of Chief Engineers and Captain Superintendent.
